Aspirin and AMD

After 10 years of treatment and follow-up, The Women’s Health Study reports that prophylactic low dose aspirin therapy does not appear to have a statistically significant effect on the development of new-onset age related macular degeneration (AMD). The aspirin group that did not take multivitamins did have a statistically significant 32% reduced risk of AMD.
